Military Writings

Without any prior military training or experience, Leon Trotsky organised the Red Army and led it to victory in the three years of civil war that followed the Revolution. This collection of Trotsky's writings on the military represent an excellent application of Marxism concretely to practical matters. Trotsky's point of departure is always the inseparability of military matters from the living social and political context and so is of interest to a far wider audience than those interested in the military.
