PRE-ORDER: Democracy, Bonapartism, and Fascism: Class Struggles in the 1930s

With a huge capitalist crisis, the radicalisation of broader layers of society, the development of the class struggle, and the vacuum on the left, there are remarkable similarities between the start of the 1930s and today. 

Important differences, like the huge zig-zags of the Comintern in preparing the defeats of the working class, contributed to the fertile ground for fascism back in the 30s. History is a useful guide for our activity in the present but it's not enough to simply look at the past. This collection contains important lessons for Communists today on learning to think, instead of reaching for well-oiled formulas, understanding what is actually taking place below the surface, and how Trotsky used the Marxist method to navigate through the tumultuous nature of this period.
